G. Love
Garrett Dutton—better known as G. Love—is a musician, songwriter, and visual artist celebrated for blending blues, hip-hop, rock, and soul into a sound that’s uniquely his own. Beyond the stage, his creativity extends into painting and design, where he explores the same themes of rhythm, expression, and connection that shape his music.
Recently, G. Love has discovered a new passion: producing Pinot Noir from California’s Russian River Valley. Drawn to the artistry of winemaking, he sees parallels between crafting a song, creating a painting, and making a wine—each a reflection of place, time, and emotion. His Pinot Noir project brings together his love of collaboration, authenticity, and storytelling, bottled for fans to share and enjoy.

Craig Ploof
Before becoming Director of Winemaking at Syndicate Wines, Craig Ploof built his first career managing bands across Hawaii and California, where he developed a deep appreciation for artistry, rhythm, and the power of collaboration. His path eventually led him to Napa Valley, where he channeled that same passion into winemaking—balancing precision and creativity in every vintage.
A longtime fan of G. Love, Craig was especially energized when their paths crossed during Garrett’s recent visit to Napa. This collaboration brings his two worlds full circle: music and wine, artistry and craft, fused into a single project that celebrates connection and shared inspiration.

Inspiration
The G. Love x Typicité collaboration was born from a shared love of creativity, connection, and craft. When musician and artist G. Love visited Napa Valley, he and winemaker Craig Ploof discovered a natural harmony between music, art, and wine. Their partnership brings these worlds together in a limited-edition Russian River Valley Pinot Noir—an expression of artistry meant to be shared.
Vineyards
Sourced from world class vineyards in the Russian River Valley covering as far west as the Solomon Hills, into Green Valley, and up to Middle Reach. Some of the most celebrated grape growers in the industry had a hand in this Russian River Valley Pinot Noir.
Winemaking
Fermented separately in open top tanks with 30% whole clusters included in fermentation. Aged for 10 months in 40% New French Oak barrels. Bottled Unfiltered.
The Label Art
Beyond his passion for music and wine, Garrett is also an accomplished visual artist. His stage performances are often surrounded by his own creations, and the label for this wine was designed using his original artwork

Our Approach to Pinot
Our Pinot Noir begins in the vineyard, through partnerships with exceptional growers farming sites with remarkable soils and climates perfectly suited to the variety. In the cellar, we take a gentle, minimalist approach—working clean and carefully—to coax out the purest expression of each vineyard, allowing the unique character and beauty of the site to shine through in the wine.
